Want to take incredible images of the Vivid Sydney light installations while learning new photography skills? Have a professional photographer take you on a bespoke circuit and guide you through all the settings required to take spectacular photographs. Participants must bring their own camera.
Whether you're a beginner or a serious amateur photographer, this course will guide you through all the settings you need to take amazing images of the light installations at Vivid Sydney! Your highly awarded professional photographer will quickly assess your level and keep you on the edge of your abilities, all the while explaining the creative techniques used. Or if you are happy to be given the settings and simply press the button, that is fine too. Create motion blur or freeze the movement on installations and get amazing results. This three hour workshop operates with small class sizes to ensure you get all the personal attention you need. Participants MUST bring their own camera, lenses, tripod and memory cards and ensure their battery is fully charged.
Please note this experience is only available for the duration of the Vivid Sydney festival - 24 May to 15 June 2019.
No restrictions but participants must be able to walk for three hours and carry their own equipment.
Once your experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:
Maximum of 10 participants with one professional instructor. Minimum numbers of four must be met for this course to go ahead.
The nature of Vivid Sydney means that is can be very difficult to change bookings or offer other places if a course is cancelled due to heavy rain. Courses will run in rainy conditions provided it is safe to do so. A course will only be cancelled when the weather conditions make it impossible to run the course. Special instructions will be given to participants in case of rain to protect your equipment. Participants are advised to bring weather protection for themselves and their equipment where necessary.
