This three day trip begins with a pick-up from your hotel, you'll be leaving Melbourne to travel through the vast volcanic plains en route to Geelong, where you can stroll along the beautifully transformed waterfront. The first stop along the coast is at Bells Beach, a famous surfing beach and a great place to enjoy morning tea and observe kangaroos in the wild. Then journey out onto the spectacular Great Ocean Road, stopping in Lorne for lunch. Stretch your legs on a 1km guided walk into the Great Otway National Park to see the world’s tallest flowering plants and prehistoric trees, and visit Apollo Bay before checking in to ‘Beacon Point Ocean View Villas’. Your private self contained villa is set high on a hill overlooking the Southern Ocean.

After breakfast at a local cafe, travel through the Otway ranges and onto the ‘Shipwreck Coast’, where you'll view the stunning Twelve Apostles. Here, you can explore the boardwalks or brave a helicopter flight along the coastline, at your own expense. Stop in the small fishing village of Port Campbell for lunch, then visit Tower Hill Game Reserve to have the chance to see koalas, kangaroos and emus. Your afternoon will include checking into your luxurious accommodation at ‘The Commodore’ in Mount Gambier and indulging in the fine food of the region at their award winning restaurant for dinner.

The third day starts with a drive through the Coonawarra wine region and a visit to the Naracoorte Caves National Park for a cave tour with a local guide. Visit the SA wine region of Padthaway and then head north through to Keith for a lunch stop, before joining the highway, travelling through grain and stock land towards Adelaide. On approach to the city visit the popular tourist village of Hahndorf and Mount Lofty summit for impressive views of Adelaide. Arrive in the city at around 6pm.
