Restored to its former glory, why not arrive early and spend some time wandering the old beauty. Learn about the Mary Valley Rattler line, its people and its history. Then, board the locomotive for a nostalgic journey through some of the most beautiful parts of Queensland. Follow the meticulously restored tracks, winding around curves, over bridges and many gentle hills. Take delight in the gorgeous scenery before arriving in the quaint town of Amamoor. Here, you can watch a fascinating experience where the train turns on a heritage turntable. Jump back on board the train for the relaxing journey to Gympie.
There are no facilities to provide for or accommodate high chairs or prams as they will not fit through the doorways of the carriages and some exhibits are accessible only by stairs.
The operation of steam is subject to weather conditions, total fire ban, volunteer driver availability or situations out of the control of the Rattler Railway Company. At times there may be an operational necessity to change the scheduled engine.
