This training introductory flight gives the opportunity to see if you have what it takes to be a real pilot. Your adventure starts with a 25 minute safety briefing and then you take to the skies for 30 minutes in a dual controlled Robinson R44 helicopter.

Under the guidance of an experienced and friendly instructor you will be introduced to each of the controls before taking full control. Imagine the thrill of actually flying a helicopter; climbing, descending and hovering, and then as a finale experience the heart thumping excitement as your instructor demonstrates the skill of low level flying.

Invite your friends and family to watch your piloting skills from the airport viewing area.

Session Length

Please allow one hour for this experience
Flying time will be 30 minutes
Available 7 days per week
Bookings available 7:00am, 9:30am, 12:00pm and 2:30pm

Restrictions

A max weight restriction of 136kg applies to the R44 Helicopter, if you are over 95kg then you MUST fly in the R44 Helicopter. If you are under 95kg you may book for the Cabri G2 Helicopter.

Guidelines

No particular level of fitness is required but people with epilepsy cannot fly
No experience is required, you will be supervised by an expert instructor at all times
You will not be allowed to fly if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs
A decent breakfast on the morning is recommended
Maximum passenger weight for the Robinson 44 is 136kg

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This voucher is for 1 person. It will be a private experience, just you and your pilot instructor.

Spectators

Invite your friends and family to watch your piloting skills from the airport viewing area.

Weather

Itinerary and precise duration of flight may vary at the pilot's discretion due to weather, Air Traffic Control or safety considerations on the day.

Dress Code

Loose comfortable clothing should be worn, as it can get quite warm in the cockpit and sturdy shoes. Sunglasses are a must as the glare off clouds can be quite severe. A cap is also a good idea. Sunscreen is recommended.

An unforgettable birthday surprise!

I had been keeping this a secret from my partner for weeks which by my standard is a near miracle. No only did I get to surprise him with something he's always wanted to try but I got to i vote his parents along to watch. The tour of the facility was a nice surprise and my father in law's eyes boggled when we entered the mechanics area! Getting to watch him take off and land right at the back of the hanger was absolutely wonderful, the pilot was super informative and happily answered any questions and my partners smile at the end of the experience says it all. Thank you for an absolute pleasure of an experience and a birthday gift he'll never forget!
