Step aboard CoastXP's Lake Cruise and Nature Walk for an adventure boat experience, guided bushwalk and lunch while surrounded by the largest permanent saltwater lake in the southern hemisphere, Lake Macquarie. The CoastXP team will take you on a journey of Lake Macquarie from its Aboriginal heritage, to its maritime history, native wildlife and geological formation. With a plethora of natural points of interest, including eroded sandstone caves, eucalypt bushland and native wildlife, and some of the most iconic and picturesque views over Lake Macquarie and across the water towards Pulbah Island Nature Reserve, you will no doubt gain a greater appreciation for the importance of respecting and conserving our local coastal environment to enjoy this area for years to come. You will conclude your tour by enjoying lunch at Dobell Park overlooking the Pulbah Island Nature Reserve, before returning to Belmont Foreshore by boat.
