Learn about the World Heritage Rainforest, Aboriginal Culture and Australian Wildlife on this spectacular Kuranda day tour. An Army Duck Tour, Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and Scenic Railway introduce you to the area, and an Aboriginal dance show and Dreamtime walk showcase the culture.
Board the Kuranda Scenic Railway for a spectacular journey with stunning views, past massive Barron Falls, Stoney Creek and across steep ravines. You'll have plenty of free time to explore Kuranda - the village in the rainforest - to browse its markets, shops and art galleries. Visit Rainforestation Nature Park, set in a lush tropical environment, and then enjoy a tropical BBQ Buffet lunch. After lunch, you will tour the World Heritage rainforest in a 6 wheel drive amphibious World War 2 Army Duck. You will learn of rainforest ecology on land and water, and meet many of the unique inhabitants - butterflies, water dragons, pythons, turtles and eels.
Witness the Pamagirri Aboriginal dancers perform in the rainforest amphitheatre, and experience a Dreamtime Walk to learn of Aboriginal culture, spear throwing demonstrations and boomerang throwing. See native wildlife close-up - kangaroos, wombats, koalas and crocodiles. Perhaps even have your photo taken with a cuddly koala (own expense)! Ride the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, which is a unique rainforest experience taking you on an unforgettable journey over Australia's World Heritage listed Tropical Rainforest and deep into the forest.
This is a full day tour.
PLEASE NOTE: Skyrail Rainforest Cableway will be closing for maintenance on 18 & 21 August 2017.
