Classic Kuranda. Board the Kuranda Scenic Railway for a spectacular journey with stunning views, past massive Barron Falls, Stoney Creek and across steep ravines. You'll have plenty of free time to explore Kuranda - the village in the rainforest - to browse its markets, shops and art galleries. Visit Rainforestation Nature Park, set in a lush tropical environment, and then enjoy a tropical BBQ lunch. After lunch, you will tour the World Heritage rainforest in a 6 wheel drive amphibious World War 2 Army Duck. You will learn of rainforest ecology on land and water, and meet many of the unique inhabitants - butterflies, water dragons, pythons, turtles and eels.

Witness the Pamagirri Aboriginal dancers perform in the rainforest amphitheatre, and experience a Dreamtime Walk to learn of Aboriginal culture, spear throwing demonstrations and boomerang throwing. See native wildlife close-up - kangaroos, wombats, koalas and crocodiles. Ride the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, which is a unique rainforest experience taking you on an unforgettable journey over Australia's World Heritage listed Tropical Rainforest and deep into the forest.

Eccentric day tour

So many activities in one day. Picked up from hotel at 08:00 and driven to cable car. If we opted for 07:00 pick up we would have boarded train. Once at Kuranda we did 4 activities the army duck - the koala wildlife park - aboriginal show - walking culture show

Amazing day spent at the markets and going to I the rainforestation. Beautiful views from the Kuranda train and sky rail highly recommended

This experience was a full day event. I got picked up from my hotel and dropped back off which was very helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the train ride for its beautiful views and informative story that was told. The village of Kuranda is lovely and quaint and I really enjoyed the butterfly enclosure. The lunch was yummy and heaps available. The rainforestation section was a bit disappointing. The army duck was a bit boring as it was all about plants instead of animals and the Pamagirri aboriginal experience was fun but lacked story telling factor that i thought it invovled. Loved seeing the reptiles and the Kangaroos were cute. The skyrail is a wonderful view as long as you're not afraid of heights. All in all i got to experience a lot and kept me busy for the entire day.
