Originating from the rainforests of Far North Queensland, the Kuku Yalanji people have been living in harmony with the environment for over 50,000 years. Discover their inextricable links to country, culture and history as you explore the Daintree Rainforest and the environment around Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef. Led by a local Aboriginal guide, you will learn how these unique environments come together and how the local Kuku Yalanji people utilise and manage the natural resources. Take a walk through the rainforest, see the majestic Daintree river, learn bush medicine, sample some bush tucker and come across diverse wildlife. End the tour with a refreshing dip in a nearby freshwater stream.
