★★★★★ ★★★★★ Top class wine tasting Mark 18 August 2018 This tour is a must do and Jim the driver was an excellent host. Very knowledgable and took us to some wonderful smaller wineries that would normally be overlooked. The timings for the whole day were perfect and we never felt rushed. The last stop at the chocolate and cheese was perfect. The one small criticism would be that red balloon does not specify a lunch option. This was only available by booking direct with boutique tours
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Fantastic day Emily 23 February 2018 We had a brilliant day with a really lovely tour guide. The only downside was that we received this experience as a gift and the giver thought it included lunch. It was a shame that we had to buy that separately.
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Beautiful Day sampling wine Bianca 4 September 2017 The tour was great and the wineries visited were really nice. The guide Steve was also very friendly
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Wine tour Royb3107 28 May 2016 Fantastic driver great knowledgable team at each of the wineries....
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Reasonable experience Melinda 3 April 2016 We did a hunter valley wine tour last year through a different company and we found the overall experience better last year. This time our driver Steve was very good but we only visited three wineries so I believe we didn't get value for our money
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Great tour. Michael 13 December 2015 Very enjoyable tour and you come away with a lot of wine knowledge.
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Highly recommend! TonashaAdgela 18 January 2015 Fantastic day out! Our tour guide Jim was very knowledgeable on the history of Sydney/NSW/Hunter Valley region which made the tour an education experience also. Wine tasting at the smaller wineries proved to be more personable and an informative experience than the larger/more commercial ones - we enjoyed the whole experience nevertheless. Only negative for the day was that our friends also booked this tour (at the same price as us) but booked directly with the company. Included in our tour package was a gourmet lunch at a restaurant, however our friends only had lunch at a café included in their tour package - this meant we couldn't have lunch with our friends. Everyone on the tour (9 people) all found out about the different set lunch options during the tour, those that were only getting the café style lunch were a bit disappointed. If doing the tour with the group of friends, I'd suggest finding this information out before the tour date so you can all have lunch together. Would also recommend a two day tour and stay a night in the Hunter.
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Good services and fruitful tour nikiho0422 20 July 2014 The tour guide arrived on time at our apartment. He introduced Sydney and Hunter Valley on the way which was detailed and showed his sufficient preparation. After we purchased the wines during the tour, he helped us to keep the wines well and gave them back to us when departing in Sydney. The tour was fruitful with several wine-tasting shops. We were all satisfied with the wines and services. At the end, the tour guide sent us back to our accommodation according to the order we got on the shuttle car which was very caring and organised.
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Thought it would be better Boo21 16 October 2013 After taking a tour with this company previously I had high expectations. However, the Hunter Valley tour was a disappointment. The wineries selected gave conflicting informations (almost like they knew where we were going next and were trying to sabotage each other) and were a poor representation of what the Hunter Valley could offer. The tour had 18 people on it (many old) and at lunchtime the driver told us that he would drop us in this carpark and we needed to walk down through the back of some wineries and shops, across a busy road, and down to another winery. With the tour we visited only 3 wineries...but when left to our own devices for the hour lunch break we visited 3 others on our own. The cost of this tour vs the experience provided did not match up.
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Hghly recommended! RG22 25 August 2013 The bus size was just right - just a small group of people rather than a huge coach and it was comfortable and air conditioned. Our driver, Rae, knew the area well and discussed the wines and wineries with knowledge and she was also friendly and made everyone feel welcome. I think remembering and addressing everyone by their names is important and that's exactly what she did. The tour wasn't overlong which becomes boring - it was long enough for everyone to get an idea of what different wineries offered and how they were made. I'd consider it to be value for money and something everyone should do at least once.
