Guests will be collected from their Cairns or Northern Beaches accommodation and transferred to the hot air balloon site in a convenient, one hour, air conditioned transfer. Once the balloon is fully inflated and ready for flight, you’ll step into the sturdy wicker basket alongside an experienced pilot. As you ascend into the sky, a sensation of peace and serenity envelops you as you experience the tranquil beauty of nature from an extraordinary vantage point. Session Length

The hot air balloon ride is approximately two hours and 45 minutes in duration and concludes between 8.45am and 9.45am depending on the season
Guests can have lunch at their own pace
Available seven days a week

Guidelines

Minimum age is three years old
Children aged three to 12 must be accompanied by an adult
Children between the ages of 13 and 17 may travel on the balloon flight by themselves under the supervision of an adult
Guest must be able to climb a 120 centimetre ladder independently and stand for the duration of the hot air balloon flight
Guests will need to arrange their own transportation back to their accommodation after lunch
Participants must be 18 years and over to consume alcohol; photo ID may be required
Guests must have lunch at Ochre on the same day as the booking
Due to weight, handbags and backpacks may not be carried on the hot air balloon
The experience provider does not recommend pregnant women take part in this experience
Guests with medical conditions should consult a physician in advance
Guests under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be able to participate
An air insurance levy fee of 30 dollars is included in your purchase
If hot air ballooning is cancelled, 60 dollars is deducted from the refund for Ochre lunch
Pickup times are confirmed upon booking

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Spectators

Spectators can join guests at lunch but they will need to purchase their own food.

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather your hot air ballooning will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider. Lunch runs in all weather conditions.

Dress Code

Please wear casual, layered clothing, a jacket, long pants, and close toe shoes. Please avoid wearing white, heels, slippers or skirts.

Location

This experience includes transfers from your Cairns and Northern Beaches accommodation or hotels. Please advise of your preferred pick up location at the time of booking.
