Visit one of the largest musical instruments in the world, the Bell Tower in Perth's CBD. This amazing, architectural feat offers 360 views of the city, plus it houses the the original bells from the St Martin in the Fields church. The bells were made before the 14th Century and recast in the 16th Century by Queen Elizabeth I. You'll learn the history of the bells, how they came to Perth and the construction of the Bell Tower itself on a guided tour. You'll also get to participate in a bell chiming demonstration and record a video postcard for your family and friends. The Bell Tower recommends you time your visit to see the volunteer Bell Ringers perform in concert (Thursdays and Sundays 12pm - 1pm) and the watch the ANZAC Bell ring at 12pm.

Open Thursday - Sunday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (last entry at 3.45 pm)
Closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day and open from 12pm on ANZAC Day (25 April)

Historic Bells in the City!

I only have positive things to say about this experience! Friendly staff, interesting history, lots of historic items to see, the ANZAC Bell, great views of the Swan River and the city....and the chance to see and play the Bells of St Martin in the Fields!! How often do you get the chance to ring church bells that are over 200 years old!

The bells of the Bell Tower

Me and my wife attended the Bell Tower Tour on a Saturday arvo as part of a gift voucher we had received. It was a very interesting tour and great to hear the history of the bells and information about the Bell Tower. The best part was the opportunity to actually have a go at bell ringing and the tour guide, Marion, took photo's for us as well. Marion was a really good tour guide and would recommend visiting the Bell Tower if in Perth.

I have lived in Perth for most of my life and never visited the bell tower. I would strongly recommend going to visit if you haven't been. What a great way to see it and learn about bell ringing at the same time. It was fascinating and we had fun ringing the bells- who would have thought it would hurt your arms so much?!
