Owner and skipper Peter Lynch brings his years of experience and knowledge to your tour and provides expert commentary.

It's an early start to the day with a courtesy bus ride to the Marina. Once you're there you'll climb aboard the modern, eco friendly boat with your small group; ready for your whale watching adventure! Take in the gorgeous views of calm, azure waters and tropical beaches while your crew takes you out to the whale's playground. You'll enjoy a morning tea of baked goods and antipasto.

Once you get to the special spot, you'll go out on the decks and watch for the whales. You may see the majestic humpbacks displaying playful behaviour such as tail-slapping, breaching, pectoral slapping or spy-hopping. Ensure you have your camera ready because you'll want to snap some photos of these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. A delicious lunch will be served in the middle of the day where you can eat while watching the whales play in the ocean. You will also get a beverage of your choice; wine, beer or soft drink.

If the conditions are right you'll be able to go out onto a water platform to get closer to the whales and experience the majesty of these gentle giants up close. Throughout the cruise you'll hear commentary from the knowledgeable skipper, who has more than 28 years of experience dealing with marine mammals. Around 2:30 pm it's time to say goodbye to the whales and head back to shore. On the way back, you'll enjoy afternoon tea and some relaxation time on the decks. When you arrive back on the docks, you'll be able to board the courtesy bus and be driven back to your accommodation.

Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience

Weather

This tour is subject to change or cancellation due to weather conditions at the discretion of the experience provider.

Dress Code

A hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended. Sensible, non slip shoes are required. They cannot be black soled shoes as this marks the deck of the boat. Bring a jacket for when the sun goes down.

Absolutely amazing Day

Started with friendly greeting, yacht clean and comfortable. Saw so many whales so playful. Captain Peter shared so much information and amazing skills. We were lucky to see babies with mothers, males competing for mothers attention and whales coming right up to the boat. We also encountered sea turtles and dolphins food was also good standard. In all fantasic day. Would totally recommend trip. Great value

The Captain and crew were amazing. We headed out in search of Whales and we were lucky to see them and on the first day of the season.what an awesome day. It was the first time we had seen Whales in their natural environment . What an experience and we would recommend it to anyone. Thank you the experience.

We had an excellent experience with Blue Dolphin Marine Tours, the captain and deck hand were very informative, food was plentiful and they went out of their way to ensure we saw Wales. This was a small boat tour so maximum number of passengers was 24, less on our trip, so you were not competing to get great views would highly recommend these guys.
