Enjoy a full day whale watching cruise on board a luxury 58 foot catamaran in Hervey Bay and along the islands and western beaches of Fraser Island. Dolphins, turtles, dugong and the occasional dingo may also be spotted.

Feast on a freshly prepared morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea while observing the whales playing; exhibited behaviours such as tail slapping, fin waving, head lunges, spy hopping and breaching. During September and October, there is more chance you will see mother whales and their calves resting and playing in the Hervey Bay waters.

With four levels of viewing and a water level platform, along with an experienced and friendly crew, this is the ultimate way to experience these incredible creatures.

Session Length

  • The tour operates 7 days a week from July 15 to late October
  • Departs 9:30am and returns at approximately 4pm
  • Courtesy transfers are available from 8:30am if required - please arrange this directly with the provider at the time of booking

Guidelines

  • Specific dietary requirements can be catered to with sufficient notice
  • If guests suffer from seasickness, "Kwells" or other remedies are recommended to be taken before stepping onboard
  • Windproof jackets may be needed in winter months

Cancellation

Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to their policy.

  • No-shows and reservations cancelled within 48 hours prior to departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee
  • Reservations cancelled more than 48 hours but less than 1 week prior to departure will incur a 30% cancellation fee
  • Cancellations one week or more from departure will be fully refunded or rescheduled
  • This tour is subject to change or cancellation due to weather conditions at the discretion of the tour operator
  • The provider reserves the right to transfer guests to another vessel where appropriate or reschedule

Weather

The captain will determine changes to procedure due to weather. Passengers are given relevant warning if the weather looks to be unfavourable. Passengers may be advised to reschedule if they feel the need to. If cancelled by captain, bookings will be rescheduled if able or fully refunded.

Dress Code

No heels please. Non-slip soles are preferred. Dresses are not the best choice on windy days. Good fitting hats and sunglasses are recommended.
