Sample Itinerary (subject to change)
9:30am: Pick up from Flinders St entrance of St Paul's Cathedral in Melbourne board a luxury 24 seater bus.
11:00am Steels Gate Winery Steels Gate is a boutique winery situated in a picturesque hillside setting at Dixons Creek. Their range of wines are all estate grown and estate made offering finesse and exceptional flavour. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere which makes this the perfect place to experience delicious wines while absorbing the serenity of the Yarra Valley.
12pm: Balgownie Estate or equivalent winery- Balgownie Estate has long been the benchmark for style and class in the Yarra Valley and the wines also live up to this reputation. The first half hour will be spent at the wine tasting table, a great opportunity to make a wine selection for lunch! Then it's into the restaurant for a superb lunch while taking in magnificent vineyard views. Lunch includes main meal, a glass of wine and tea or coffee.
1.30pm: Yering Farm - The old hay shed situated at the top of the hill has been converted into a charming rustic cellar door, just oozing with character. It is a fantastic environment to enjoy superb wines made with traditional winemaking techniques.
2.15pm: Domaine Chandon - How better to finish the day than with a visit to French champagne company Moet & Chandon's Australian production house. If you've ever wondered at the magic that puts the bubbles in bubbly, wonder no more - our privileged access guided tour of the winery will reveal all. Enjoy breath-taking views over a relaxing glass of Australia's best bubbly.
3.30pm: Leave Yarra Valley.
4.30pm-5pm: Arrive back in Melbourne.
