ZAFFRANI PANEER Cottage cheese in saffron, cream, yoghurt and mace, chargrilled to perfection
POTLI SAMOSA [g] Pastry pockets with lightly spiced potatoes, green peas and oven roasted coriander seeds
URLAI CROQUETTES Pan seared mashed potato croquettes with ginger, green chili, curry leaf, subtle spices and golden fried

Main

Butter chicken - Chicken thigh fillets (free range) roasted in the tandoor and then pan finished with delicately spiced dry fenugreek leaves, cashew nut and fresh cream
Goan macchi - Market fish with turmeric, mustard seeds, balsamic vinegar, star anise and coconut cream
BHUNA LAMB Slow-cooked lamb in aromatic spices and caramelised onions, finished with a rich flavorful sauce.
Chicken tikka masala [n] - Tandoor grilled free range chicken tikka, fresh tomatoes & garlic

I’d totally recommend the Indian restaurant Delhi O’Delhi restaurant not only for the fancy atmosphere but also for the friendly service and on the top of it, the authentic and delicious food. Using the voucher with Redbaloon was so easy and ran smoothly.

Did not happen

I tried to book a lunch for 1pm. This is the time I entered when booking through Red Balloon. I was told I am nearly there and I would get a confirmation from the restaurant which I did but I didn't realise they changed the time to 5.30pm. I guess this was my fault one because I didn't notice it was a dinner only deal and they don't even open until 5.30pm but I tried to book for 1pm. Got a confirmation email so didn't think anymore of it until my Father and I got to the restaurant and saw they were closed. I have sent emails to both the restaurant and Red Balloon customer service and both have replied but no answer whether I will get my $150 credit back. I cannot bag the restaurant because I did not end up eating there but I can say I am upset with the experience.

Great Indian experience in Newtown

Enjoyed the selection but did ask for condiments. The cucumber & yogurt was a must with the spices of the meals. The prosecco was so nice … I had some left and they gave me a stopper which was a lovely gift. Enjoyed the night and will be back. The service and friendliness of the staff was excellent. Thanks again.

A wonderful experience. The service and atmosphere were great. The food was some of the best and most tasty Indian food we have experienced. The restaurant was very busy however there wasn’t a long wait for service. Water was constantly topped up and if we wanted anything the staff were always on hand. A great dining experience

Delhi O Delhi is a well known local Indian restaurant. The food is good and the service is very helpful. The menu on this voucher is a little more “fixed” than it used to be but the staff were very helpful throughout. The chicken and lamb mains were tender and tasty and more bread was available if required.

We were given a red balloon voucher for our birthday (husband and I) we tried this restaurant once before with a red balloon voucher and were able to choose from the menu. This time it was a set menu and I found both main meals to be too spicy for me. Murgh Tikka Butter Masala, Bundeli Lamb. The flavours were nice but far too hot for me to enjoy unfortunately. I would have much preferred a butter chicken. Staff were very polite and professional.

Every dishes we had was very delicious. My husband is a vegetarian and we could swap his main meal however limited choice for me to pick my main (lamb or chicken only), it’s fixed so can’t pick some other meat dish I from the menu even though it’s at the same price. Good service and very friendly staff. Great food.
