Your day starts at the De Bortoli Winery, a third generation, Italian family owned winery and one of the biggest wine companies in the Yarra Valley. Here you will enjoy a hosted tasting of cheese from the Cheese Maturation Room matched perfectly with Yarra Valley estate wine.
Next, meet the winemaker Graeme Miller at Dixon’s Creek Estate. The Cellar Door, situated on the vineyard, provides some of the best views of the Yarra Valley, as well as direct viewing of a working winery from the sales and tasting area. It also has a fine display of Aboriginal Art from the Central and Western deserts and Arnhem Land.
Your next stop will be lunch for a 2 course lunch with wine at Tokar Estate or Tramonto Kitchen and Bar. Seated on the terrace overlooking the vines in warmer weather, both lunch options are local favourites and provide delicious local, seasonal produce for you to enjoy. You will also visit Coldstream Hills Winery one of the most popular wineries in the region where you will be greeted and treated to some world class tastings including varietals and reserves.
The final stop is at 9th generation winemaker Dominique Portet for afternoon tea where you can soak in the stunning surrounds and passion of the family owned winery. You can decide on afternoon tea, a wine tasting at the cellar door or both before heading back to Melbourne.
Pick up is 8.50-9.20am and return is at 5-5.30pm. Pick ups and drop offs are to Melbourne Hotels and accommodation or a central transfer location St Paul's Cathedral, Flinders Street Melbourne
