Our first stop in the Yarra Valley is a visit to Domaine Chandon. Established in 1986, Chandon Australia is a premium wine brand with winery operations based in the Yarra Valley, Victoria. Domaine Chandon is one of 6 “Domaine Chandon’s” outside of France. Dedicated to creating méthode traditionnelle cool-climate sparkling wines, Chandon crafts wines which are complex, expressive and reflective of their origins. The premium tasting experience here is a meticulously crafted journey through some of Chandon's favourite sparkling wines. These are the wines that make them unique in the Australian market. Exceptionally crafted, always excellent. We'll explore Chandon's mastery of méthode traditionnelle as well as the local creativity that goes into our exceptional sparkling wines. Enjoy five of signature styles, select vintages and iconic offerings.
Your next stop will be lunch for a two course lunch with a glass of wine at Soumah. A hidden gem in the Yarra Valley. Soumah is a truly delightful lunch stop where you can sit back and relax, enjoying the view from the terrace. Soumah specialise in provincial Italian cuisine with your choice of main course and a glass of estate grown award winning wine. As you arrive at Soumah, you'll be captivated by the serene beauty of the surroundings. Take a moment to unwind and soak in the breathtaking views from the terrace. Sit back, relax, and allow the peaceful ambiance to envelop you.
We have incorporated Trattoria d’Soumah as the exciting lunch venue on your exploration of the Yarra Valley. Located at Soumah wines this is a hidden gem at the end of a country lane off the main highway. “Soumah” is actually an abbreviation of South of Maroondah (Highway) You will arrive to sweeping views of vineyards and the Warramate Foothills. At Soumah, they specialise in interesting and lesser known varietals inspired by the wines of Northern Italy and South East France. Soumah are highly awarded for the more popular wine of the cooler climate Yarra Valley, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. A perfect place to visit for Wine Tasting and Lunch. Trattoria d’Soumah is wholesome and rustic with antipasta, woodfired pizza, slow cooked hearty food and house made pasta available 7 days a week.
