This fast track barista workshop will give you a head-start on seeking work in the industry. Over a full day, you'll learn the fundamental concepts and techniques required for making cafe quality coffee, as well as tips for barista workflow to keep up in a busy cafe environment.

The fast track barista workshop will set you up with the skills, knowledge and training to become a barista in a day. Working on a commercial grade coffee machine, you'll learn how to pour the perfect espresso shot and the technique for milk texturing as you work your way through the café menu. You’ll also discover the rich international history of coffee and how coffee is grown and harvested. The barista trainer will educate you on the roasting process, the characteristics of different coffee beans and what to look for when purchasing coffee beans. They will also share their tips on barista workflow so you'll be confident in a busy cafe environment. The workshop is hands-on offering plenty of practical time to gain experience.

Workshops run regularly on weekdays

People of high school age and older are able to attend this workshop. Please enquire with the provider if you have any questions or concerns.

Participants are welcome and encouraged to bring their own snacks and lunch to the workshop.

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience

My partner and I attended the barista day course with Jessie who was very helpful, knowledgeable and made us all laugh. The vibe of the room was very warm, comfortable and welcoming and we had such a fun experience in which we learned alot! Would highly recommend!

There is so much to learn about coffee, and the barista fundamentals course at Jesse's is a great introduction. Lots of tips and tricks for home users and hands on experience and practicals. Great take away handout to help you continue mastering your technique at home.

Loved the experience. It was worth attending even if you have no intention of being a barista just for the knowledge and appreciation you walk away with. Great small groups and brilliant instructor.

Very informative and enjoyable experience. Loved the hands-on training/practice on correct coffee making procedure and milk frothing/art. Not as easy as one thinks if you're after a good coffee! Jesse was great!

I received this as a gift from someone knowing I enjoy coffee but have very little experience. It was 4 hours of great fun with plenty of facts, tips and tricks handed down from the barista. There was people in the class who didn’t drink coffee to waitresses that make coffee but want to be shown how to perfect making one. Highly recommend and can not wait to do the advanced class.
