Explore the pristine and stunning World Heritage Listed K'Gari - Fraser Island, on this full day tour. Visit the white sandy beaches, discover the untouched rainforests, explore the island bushwalking on land, or try one of the many water-based activities, including snorkelling, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming.

Your day begins with departing from Hervey Bay Marina, on a fast catamaran to K'Gari - Fraser Island. Cruise the Great Sandy Strait along the pristine shores of Fraser Island and spot dolphins, turtles, dugongs, birds and dingoes whilst enjoying a light morning tea. You will also hear the expert commentary throughout your trip, to help you understand more about this treasured island off the Queensland coast. Next, you will be transferred to the western side of World Heritage listed Fraser Island on an amphibious watercraft, designed to drive right up onto the beach ensuring you remain dry and comfortable. Here you will be able to enjoy the clear water of Wathumba Creek, and try a range of activities including snorkelling with turtles, kayaking, tubing, or going for a walk along the beach.

Lunch is served on board the boat, as you cruise to one of two picturesque locations, Awinya or Bowarrady Creek. Be fascinated by the beautiful surrounding nature, as you try stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, snorkelling, guided walks, beach activities and other free water sports during your afternoon. Stop for afternoon tea and delicious antipasti platter, to reenergise before you try another activity, and explore more of the natural beauty of this island.

Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

There will be a minimum of 6 passengers and a maximum of 25 passengers on this tour.

Weather

This tour is subject to weather conditions. In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider. If your experience is cancelled you will be rescheduled by the provider.

Bring a Camera, swimsuit and towel. Sunglasses and hat, walking shoes, sunscreen are recommended.

One of the best tours we have ever experienced.

We had the most amazing tour of the western side of Fraser Island. The staff worked seemlessly to ensure that every detail was covered from health & safety to enjoyment of all those on tour. They were full of knowledge & advice when asked questions. Our ages ranged from 5 to 70 & although we had 41 in our group there was an excellent staff ratio. The morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea were all excellent quality & quantity. Wonderful to experience snorkeling, kayaking, tubing, the view from atop a sand hill & of course swimming in azure blue warm waters. Complete with pickup & delivery from our accommodation in Hervey Bay. What a day to remember!

A great experience and lovely day for me and my partner. The crew were all amazing and took good care of us through the day. Everything was well planedand and the food was OK. We had a lot of fun and would easily recommend this tour to others.

A fun filled day out for people of varying fitness

The fantastic crew - Lloyd, BJ and Emily - make this a great day out for everyone. With a max. of 20 people there is plenty of time for everyone to enjoy the well planned activities. These included snorkeling, kayaking, tubing, climbing a sand dune and swimming. My fitness is low and I’m overweight. The crew accommodated this with such good nature, I was able to participate fully in the day’s adventures and have a great time. Lunch was cold meat and salads, not a BBQ and afternoon tea a cheese and biscuits platter. We didn’t see dolphins, dugongs or turtles but it didn’t matter. It was a great day! Highly recommend it to anyone as a value for money day trip to beautiful Fraser Island!

I was particularly disappointed having driven 5 hours to Hervey Bay only to be told the tour was cancelled because there were insufficient tourists wanting to travel on the excursion
