The hike ensures you can appreciate the beauty of the island without the weight on your shoulders and includes return 4WD transfers, luggage transport, all meals and drinks and all camping equipment. You'll stroll through lush tropical rainforests, experience the total tranquility of the bush and refresh in the sparkling waters of Lake McKenzie and Lake Wabby. Following the first day of hiking, you will return to Central Station walkers camp and stumble upon a full camp set up, with wine and cheese awaiting your arrival. Your guide will have prepared a delicious camp dinner to be enjoyed before falling asleep under the stars.
Hiking on Fraser Island is subject to the Fraser Island Great Walk hiking tracks being open, based on a precipitation level - due to fire safety.
Minimum of two and maximum of six participants.
The climate of Fraser Island is subtropical, with warm daytime temperatures throughout the entire year. The winter months have an average temperature of14-25 degrees celsius and is less likely that you will see much rainfall during walking season. If it does rain it's generally short showers.
Please bring suitable walking/hiking shoes and clothing, portable charger, torch, insect repellent, sun protection, large bottle to carry water and walking poles.
