Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, turtles and dugongs as you explore the beautiful Fraser Island over five hours. Cruise the crystal clear turquoise waters before dropping anchor at a remote beach, where you'll be free to kayak, snorkel, tube ride or simply relax on the golden silica sands.
Discover the sights and delights of K'gari (Fraser Island) on this half day adventure cruise. Enjoy morning tea and fascinating commentary on marine life, local geography and Aboriginal culture as you venture to a quiet and remote beach, keeping an eye out for dolphins, turtles, dugongs and seabirds along the way. Upon reaching the destination, the crew will drop anchor and transfer you to the sandy shores to swim, kayak, snorkel, relax and take tube rides. Your crew provide you the options - you set the energy level. Afterwards, you'll re-board the boat and be treated a generous lunch consisting of steak, sausages, king prawns, salads and fresh bread rolls, before heading back to the marina.
Minimum of six and maximum of 40 people.
If anyone in your group cannot (or doesn't want to) go to the beach, they're most welcome to stay on the main vessel for the duration of the experience.
Being on the water, weather plays a large part in to whether this cruise will go ahead or not. Most cancellations occur due to strong winds or storms in the bay. The provider doesn't usually cancel due to rain alone, as it's usually not a safety issue. Cancellation due to bad weather, is entirely up to the skipper. They will let you know, at least, the day prior to your cruise, if it looks like the possibility of cancelling.
Please bring swimwear, towel, sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat. You can choose whatever footwear you like for the main journey over to the Island. If you decide to wear thongs, you won't be able to wear them to the island (due to being a trip hazard). You can, however, carry them over with you. You're welcome to use secure sandals or go barefoot for the transfer to the island. Closed in shoes aren't recommended for the transfer as you'll need to enter the water, potentially up to knee height, to reach land.
