Discover the most western side of Kangaroo Island and explore the stunning natural landscapes of this unique part of Australia. This day tour will take you into Flinders Chase National Park - home to the iconic Remarkable rocks, Admiral Arch and Weirs Cove. Marvel at the nature-made rock formations, the result of millions of years of erosion.

You'll also visit lesser-known areas of the park. Get out, walk around and discover amazing wildlife and plants. At Cape du Couedic; you'll get to visit a beautiful stone lighthouse. Enjoy commentary from your knowledgeable guide and stop for a picnic lunch at a remote location. Depending on timing, you may finish the day tour with a trip to 'Grassdale' to see kangaroos in the wild and learn about the island's pioneering history.

  • Accommodation pick up times are generally between 8:30am and 9:30am
  • Kingscote Airport pick-ups are off flight QF2560 at 10:15am
  • Accommodation drop-offs are generally around 5:30pm - 6:00pm
  • Available daily except 25 December (Christmas Day)

This experience is best suited to people with a reasonable mobility level. There are elements of the day where you will be walking on uneven ground over a variety of natural surfaces and at several locations there are walks of around 1 kilometre over boardwalks and unpaved ground. Children from 6 years and up are welcome on this small group tour, for kids under that age it is best to book a private tour.

Please note: gluten-free, kosher, non-seafood, vegan or any other special dietary needs can be catered for but you must advise the tour provider at the time of booking. The dining locations are remote and the providers take everything from their kitchen along on the day.

The tour departs with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 guests.

The tour goes ahead rain or shine - it is an outdoor experience and we have a choice of locations for breaks which are comfortable in a variety of weather conditions. The only condition where locations will be changed is if the day is classed as a "Catastrophic Fire Danger Day" - in this event all National Parks and Wildlife Reserves are closed so your tour will be altered.

Sensible, comfortable walking shoes. Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses. Long pants to protect your legs against in the bush. A jacket for ocean breezes - even when it's warm.
