What's included?

1.5 hour evening tall ship cruise

On board you will learn the rich history of this ship, from merchant vessel to carrying the first settlers of Melbourne. This sunset cruise allows you to sail the winds of the evening breeze against the backdrop of a gorgeous setting sun.

The Enterprize tall ship is an all-timber, carvel planked, two masted, topsail schooner. She is single decked, and made as close in replica to the original ship operating as a coastal trading vessel in the 1800's. She has been traditionally constructed using Australian and New Zealand grown timbers. This experience aims to provide you with the opportunity to experience life on board a nineteenth century sailing ship.

Session Length

Please arrive at the ship 15 minutes before the ship is due to depart

Guidelines

Please be aware, the ship is traditionally rigged and will have plenty of tar present, choose clothing that can get dirty
Seating is available, however limited
Children: Age 3 - 15 years

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

You will share this experience with other participants on board.

Weather

If the wind and/or rain is light to moderate, Enterprize will still sail. If it is heavy rain, the Master may cancel the sail and you will be notified by email and SMS.

Dress Code

Please bring a hat, sunscreen, flat shoes and a warm, windproof layer.

Other Info

You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch or dinner, including a bottle of wine, but please be aware that the ship will move, so containers need to be sealable, and glassware should be plastic.

We had an awesome night. The ship was well preserved. The crew were lovely and very knowledgeable. The ability for guests to participate in activities and experience the way things were done on a ship like this was great. No pressure by the crew for guests to participate but those that did, enjoyed the experience. The sunset put on a lovely display to top the night off. Well worth the experience.

The Master of the ship was very informative, her and the crew were very welcoming and funny. The cruise into the bay was amazing we had a lovely night and even though not much wind got the sails up which was a lovely experience.

Crew were very informative, helpfull and allowed me to climb crows nest and go below to view kitchen and sleeping quarters. I really enjoyed trip and would consider a longer trip for the experience of what it was like in the past. Recommend to do at least once.

A birthday present to remember

I was bought the Evening Tall Ship Cruise as a birthday present. For me the Enterprise has historical interest as it's the type of vessel that my ancestors would have arrived on in Melbourne back in 1862. Port Phillip Bay was, well Port Phillip Bay, shallow and bumpy in high winds. I would have loved to have spent longer on board to get a feel for the rthyms of life onboard almost 2 centuries ago, but that is my only negative.Completely loved the experience.

Took my wife on a sailing experience. Explained she had neck surgery and ask if possible could she have a seat which can be somewhat limited. These kind teams helped her to a seat and offered an arm for support getting her off. Not only was it a great experience but the team are nothing I've ever experienced. Thank you

What a lovely way to spend and evening. The crew were very freindly and keen to have you on board and help out if you wanted too. Hence to say my partner hoisted the mains and climb high on the rig. Would highly recommend for any age, ability and occasion

Our 1 hour cruise from Williamstown aboard the Tall Ship Enterprise was wonderful! My husband & I took our almost 90 year old mother with us and she absolutely loved her experience! From the ground staff directing us on the Pier, to the onboard crew, everyone was so helpful and friendly. The Crew were very informative and on hand to answer any questions. My husband took part in helping hoist the sails and he climbed the rigging, in spite of being afraid of heights, and he loved it! I thouroughly recommend this experience for all age groups.Well done to all involved and Thank you for an amazing day! :)
