★★★★★ ★★★★★ Recommended Evening Rainforest and Glow Worm on December 5 Robert 6 December 2023 This Evening Rainforest and Glow Worm experience was fantastic and far exceeded my expectations. Antoine was a knowledgeable, friendly, caring and hard working guide. For example, I had some difficulty going down and up the walk way to the glow worms when the path was steep and uneven. Antoine became my walking support and allowed me to place my hand on his shoulder for support and gave me a hand to get up or down rocks and tree roots. Antoine also assisted other tour members to travel over tricky terrain to get to and from the glow worms. Antoine went above and beyond what a regular tour guide would do to help us. He was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of information about the glowworns to explain their behaviour. I would highly recommend this trip to everyone. Thank you to Antoine for his great work on the evening to make it a memorable one.

★★★★★ ★★★★★ Nightmare experience Anh 25 October 2022 The tour was overbooked. Approximately 14 out of 16 seats taken and I was sitting next to someone who took up half my seat. I had my knees close together and my head inside my shirt because this person kept coughing every minute and the person to my left was also coughing every minute. These two were together and were clearly sick. They should have been asked to leave and got their uber paid for or shouldn't have been allowed on the tour. No one else cared because they weren't sitting besides both of them. There was a guy sitting at the back coughing with a mask on. How are these people even allowed on the tour. I regret not leaving half way and calling an uber home. I was in pain after sitting with my knees so close together and holding my breath. I told the driver at the stop and he moved those two sick people together but still my elderly mother and myself are still close to them. I got asked to swap seats with an empty seat in the back but that was next to a gentlemen coughing wearing a mask. I just don't want to sit next to someone who is clearly sick or someone who takes up half your seat. That's what happens when you overbook a tour and put money first and not the health and safety of your passengers. I'm not trying to get people not to book with this company just letting you know if you sit next to a stranger because the tour is full you might have half a seat or the person might be sick. I have had more room on a jetstar flight than this Mercedes Benz. Better off booking a tour in a large group that uses a bus so it's more spread out. I did tell the driver and asked if I could sit next to him. And he said yes. I asked if my mother could next to him so she doesn't get sick and he said yes. And then when he came back he said he moved the two sick people together. I don't understand why two people coughing every minute and a person at the back wearing a mask coughing would be allowed on a tour bus with no windows. I know you didn't know they were sick when you picked them up but they were coughing every minute and were from the same party so clearly they were sick. I know covid protocols are more relaxed these days but having someone on each side of you coughing every minute and taking up half your seat is a bit extreme to allow on your tour. I did also mention to the driver the person was coughing without covering her mouth. I deeply regret not asking to be let out so I can order an uber and go home. It is highly unfair for my mother and I who were sitting closest to the sick people. It was an absolute nightmare and I couldn't wait to get off. I honestly couldn't sleep that night my mum and I were both frustrated and horrified at our experience. We have both now have a sore throat. I am in so much pain that night for putting my knees together because the girl next to me took up half my seat. The vehicle isn't ideal if you have to sit next to someone who takes up half your seat and is sick. I am currently feeling so sick and my mother as well. This all could have been avoided if the passenger was removed. I would have brought a mask but I didn't expect someone sick to go on a tour in a van with 14 people. Southern Cross Tours have ruined the last few days of my holiday at The Gold Coast. I am feeling horribly sick as well as my mother from being stuck next to two people who were unwell.
