That’s 10% of the Australian population! When we started ‘doing’ experiences in 2001, Facebook didn’t exist; the iPod had just been invented; John Howard was Prime Minister; and Destiny's Child were popular (yikes!). We’ve been at this business of experiences for quite a while, so put your trust in us to show you a good time.
The RedBalloon Price Guarantee does not apply to experiences involving accommodation or Experience Providers' own conditional sales.

The Dolphin Discovery Centre is an essential stop for any visitor to the South West region. The aquarium tells the story of the region from freshwater river to offshore reef and features a variety of marine plants and animals. Enjoy day entry to the brand new Interpretive Centre which features a 360-degree Digital Dolphinarium and offers immersive experiences with interactive displays, feeding programs, activity centres and tours that appeal to all ages. The highlight of the visit is no doubt the chance to see wild dolphins in the Beach Interaction Zone. With many dolphins living along the coast, guests are often able to observe dolphins playing, socialising, feeding and mating in their natural environment. Enter the shallow water with your expert guide, take in the gorgeous scenery and soak up this rare opportunity.
NOTE: During the cooler months you do not see the dolphins consistently in the Beach Interaction Zone. Remember they are wild dolphins and come and go as they please. Most common visit times are in the mornings between 8am and 12 noon.

With so many dolphins living along the coast, Bunbury and Koombana Bay offer the perfect opportunity for dolphins and humans to meet and interact right. The Interaction Zone has been designated as a special dolphin protection area for this very purpose. Under strict license conditions set out by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (BDCA), the Centre has been able to offer a unique interactive experience on the beach right in front of the Centre since 1989. Dolphin Volunteers have been trained to ensure the interaction guidelines are followed and they will always be present on the beach to answer your questions and manage the interaction should dolphins visit the zone. Naturally, being a wild animal there is no set time however the most common visit times are in the mornings between 8 am – 12 noon!
The Dolphin Discovery Centre is situated on the Bunbury foreshore at Koombana Bay.
