Take a guided walk through the rainforest, enjoy a river cruise to spot crocodiles, swim in an idyllic freshwater stream and visit famous Cape Tribulation Beach. After being picked up from your accommodation, this full-day tour travels north along the picturesque Great Barrier Reef Drive en route to the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park. After enjoying a light morning tea of tea, coffee and biscuits, you will embark on a 1-hour Daintree River Cruise. Gain insights into the region's unique flora and fauna, including birds, butterflies and chance sightings of the infamous estuarine crocodile. Back on land, enjoy an interpretive drive through the oldest continually existing rainforest on earth, while on the lookout for the elusive Southern Cassowary and prehistoric Boyd’s Rainforest Dragon.

Enjoy lunch in a rainforest setting, followed by a freshwater swim in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest. Cool off in a refreshing rainforest setting. Visit the famous Cape Tribulation Beach for a stroll and visit the lookout where the rainforest meets the reef. Treat yourself to a complimentary Tropical Fruit Ice Cream from the Daintree Ice-Cream Company who handmake all the delicious ice creams on the property with unique flavours of the Daintree Rainforest (signature cup included). Finally, we will cross back over the Daintree River by cable ferry before returning to your accommodation late afternoon.

We enjoyed doing this tour, particularly the cruise and spotting crocs. The location where we swam after lunch was so nice and had super clear water. This spot is only able to be reached on the 4WD road, so that was especially good. Lunch was really nice and in a great spot. However, I found that some places it was a bit rushed, particularly the ice cream place as there was so many people there. Overall, it was a great day.

Oh boy did it rain and that was the main shame but you can't stop the weather - I could only imagine what it would be like in good weather. It made the day a little uncomfortable and I think the operator could have provided appropriate wet weather gear as we brought or own but obviously not enough for that weather and we were soaked to the core all day in the freezing air con. The rain was so bad at Cape Trip you could not see in front of you so that was a shame could not venture to look at the beach and we were cut short, we booked 4WD because we thought it would be able to handle the dirt road but we were turned back, but still worth it.

Our Guide was a walking Wikipedia with a couple =)

We got to experience a little bit of everything. Matt was awesome and he knew so much about the area. The tour groups are kept small which is great. It is a very long day but the bus was super comfy. Would highly recommend for visitors who want a taste of everything within a short amount of time.
