Arguably Tasmania's best day trip! At the end of this day, you will understand why the tourist numbers have doubled in the past 4 years! Bruny Island has a little bit of everything mainland Tasmania has - world class beaches, national parks, rugged coastline and native wildlife matched with the finest local produce from the ocean and the land.

While it's impossible to do everything in one day, we have designed various tours to fit in with the day’s weather conditions so we can provide the most enjoyable experience. You can expect an active (easy/moderate level) morning with nature walks, albino wallaby spotting, spectacular scenery lookouts, exploring pristine beaches and lagoon (swimming optional). This tour takes you off the beaten track and into areas that are only accessible by walking tracks that only locals know about. After an adventurous morning, it will be time to pull it back a gear as we head for lunch at the Bruny Hotel, with many options to suit budgets and dietary requirements. After lunch, unwind and relax as we sample some award winning local produce. Honey, chocolate fudge, beverages and oysters are all possibilities (time pending and at own cost)!

Departs daily at 7.30am, returns approximately 5:30pm
Pickups begin 45 minutes prior to the tour departure

Please arrive early at the pick up location, strick pick up times are in place due to the ferry timetable
Lunch and tastings are at your own cost
Low to moderate fitness is essential

Numbers on the Day

This tour runs with a minimum of 4 and maximum of 24 people. In the event of a cancellation, the experience provider will reschedule, subject to availability.

Dress Code

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring swimmers, a towel and thongs for the beach. A raincoat, jacket, hat and sunglasses are recommended. Please check the weather forecast the night before your booking and dress accordingly.

“Fun, Food and friendship on Bruny”

This tour was absolutely brilliant, we had the opportunity to taste the pure magic of Bruny’s honey, cheese, chocolates, oysters and seafood, Andrew ,our tour leader, showed us numerous rare white wallabies as well as lots of other wildlife. As a Bruny local he was able to lead us to areas that others did not know of nor were allowed to enter. Andrew went out of his way to be amenable to all our requests, he was polite, understanding as well as being a safe and aware bus driver. We would highly recommend Tassie Tours as the way to see and visit Bruny Island.

A very informative and enjoyable day tour. The bus driver was very knowledgeable and professional. Even though there were times that it was raining, he returned to the rain affected areas when the weather fined up.

I wouldn't normally opt to do a tour prefering to explore my own way, however being strapped for time we thought this was the best way to go. Andrew ran an amazing tour with a small intimate group, his knowledge and enthusiasm about the island made the tour more than worth it. Cheers mate!

ANDREW was very caring of everyone on or off the bus, he managed to avoid most of the rain, we enjoyed everything and walking etc we did well considering our age. Thank you was an 80th birthday present during lockdown 2 years ago.

Cheap way to see all the Bruny Island has to offer

Great day out with Tassie Tours. Hit all the highlights of Bruny on this tour without having to fork out more money if you didn’t want to. Nature based meant that we got to spend more time out in the wilderness of the island but we still had plenty of time to stop and sample cheese, oysters and chocolate if we wanted to.

Don't waste your money

Tour operator was fantastic and friendly but the tour itself isn't worth the money they ask. Hours sitting in a small bus full of people on a bumpy road with nothing to look at to see a lighthouse U can't go in unless U spend more money and are in time for a tour. I actually have no idea why this is even a tour?

Bruny Island North and South well worth a visit, endless beauty of the sea views, white sand, rock pools and beaches. The sumptuous food galore from chocolates, cheese, honey ice cream and most yummiest freshly shucked oysters are simply divine.

A great day out, we saw so much, in fact I don't think we missed anything on Bruny Island! For what we paid it was brilliant. Would recommend it to anybody.
