Venture down the road less travelled on this epic 4WD experience travelling from Cairns to Cape Tribulation. You will drive along spectacular coastline hugging two World Heritage areas, the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics rainforest. You will indulge on tasty homemade scones with jam and cream and sip on local tea or coffee. You will hear fascinating stories of the oldest continuously growing rainforest in the world, renowned for its amazing diversity of plant and animal life.
How about exploring Bloomfield Track, a four-wheel-drive road constructed through the heart of the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park? Be immersed in the untouched wilderness as you keep your eyes peeled for native wild animals and exotic birds. Visit an Aboriginal community and an Art and Cultural Centre before tucking into a hearty lunch in a true Aussie pub.
You will also have the opportunity to see Black Mountain National Park before arriving in Cooktown and taking in the spectacular views from Grassy Hill. Have your camera ready for breathtaking scenery! Free time to explore Cooktown is also part of the itinerary as well as a dinner stop (pay your own) on the way back to Cairns.
