Mystery flights are the best way to travel, hassle free! You don’t have to choose where to go and you have the thrill of not knowing until you get there. You choose your travel date (weekday or weekend), and your flight times are chosen with one of the major airlines (Virgin Australia, Jetstar or Qantas). You will receive your itinerary two to three days prior to departure. Your transfers are pre arranged at your destination and you have been booked into a quality hotel! All you have to do is have fun when you get there!

With your two night package stay, you will fly to one of 18 possible destinations which includes accommodation and transfers. Each destination offers its own attractions and activities. While you will be provided with some tourist information regarding your destination in your itinerary, you are under no obligation to do or visit anything particular. What you choose to do is entirely up to you.

You are able to nominate one destination you do not wish to be flown to, and for repeat travellers every effort will be made not to send you to the same place twice. Take a chance, and be spontaneous!

Important information

Session Length

Your flight is a 'mystery' and will depart at any time from 5am on your chosen date. Your return flight will be between 12pm and 10pm.

Mystery Flight bookings are not available on LONG WEEKENDS, PUBLIC HOLIDAYS or SCHOOL HOLIDAYS.

Guidelines

This experience departs from the major airports in Brisbane
Ballina/Byron Bay, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast are automatic exclusions for departures from Brisbane
All bookings are subject to availability for the dates you have requested
Mystery Flights requires 21 days notice for first preference departure date
The second preference date should be at least one week later from the first preference departure date
Mystery Flights will make contact within 48 hours to discuss the booking request
While we endeavour to meet your requests it is not always possible
School holidays, public holidays and long weekends are not available for Mystery Flights Packages
Mystery Flights bookings are not guaranteed until a confirmation is sent by RedBalloon as well as a booking confirmation by Mystery Flights
Please choose your travel dates carefully, this experience is non refundable and changes to your booking dates/times are not possible once your booking dates have been confirmed
7kg of carry on baggage is included, please note, check in baggage is not permitted on this package

Cancellation

Once your booking has been confirmed with Mystery Flights, cancellations are not permitted.

Three star hotel. Breakfast was not included. The worst airline, jet star. Had to travel to Brisbane,. To fly out!

This was our second mystery flight package in recent months and was far and away better than the first one. The hotel was far superior (as opposed to a 2star previously) and the transfers were 100%+ better! I'm not sure if things changed because of comments made after our Melbourne trip but to have an individual vehicle pick up as opposed to a milk run transfer changed everything Personally, I believe people taking a mystery flight have expectations, and I don't think an airport-hotel shuttle bus is one of them. A far far better experience.

Smooth flight and drop off at hotel where we also managed an early checkin and late checkout too! Perfect weekend away - shopping, eating and discovering Melbournes funky laneways.

We had a mystery flight from Brisbane to Cairns, staying at the Double Tree by Hilton hotel. It was really a fun idea...we didnt find out where we were going until a few days prior and that made things quite exciting. The service by Red Balloon was great, as I had to extend the service to include my 1 year old daughter. They arranged a cot in the hotel and made life easier for us with the timings of flights. A fun time away...I just wish it had been longer!
