★★★★★ ★★★★★ Recommended THE MOST ROMANTIC WEEKEND, ONE FOR THE BOOKS. Eva 6 June 2025 From the moment we arrived at The Lane Retreat, it felt like stepping into a little slice of paradise. Tucked among the vines of a Bimbadgen vineyard, the views were absolutely breathtaking, panoramic scenes of the Broken Back Range, pastel sunsets melting over the lake, and misty sunrises that made time just slow down. Our room was gorgeous, the perfect cozy nook to soak it all in with a glass of wine (which we were lucky enough to have waiting on arrival, yay!). Mornings began with gourmet breakfast provisions, wrapped in robes and watching the hot air balloons fly by. Followed by pick-up right from our retreat for a private transfer to the Bimbadgen cellar door, where we enjoyed a relaxed wine tasting experience surrounded by stunning vineyard views. We tasted a selection of their award-winning wines, from rich reds to crisp whites. Lunch was a total treat: wood-fired pizzas cooked to perfection, enjoyed alfresco in that gorgeous courtyard setting. Perfect balance of laid-back vibes and seriously good flavours. Dinner at Esca Bimbadgen was a dreamy 5-course feast, each dish bursting with delicious local flavours and paired beautifully with wines curated by the head winemaker. The whole experience felt effortless, from the smooth transfers to and from the restaurant, to the relaxed yet luxury vibe of the weekend. If you’re after a weekend that blends nature, luxury, and seriously delicious food, this experience is amazing, with late check-out so you can soak up every last moment.
