This Apnea Australia Stage A freediving course is an introduction to the purest form of diving. Over two days, you'll learn about the importance of breathing and the physiology of a breath hold, with informative theory, pool and ocean training sessions.
Freediving lets you explore the space between two breaths and gives you freedom to explore the ocean. This two day introductory freediving course is perfect for those who want to learn the basics of the sport and learn how to train safely. With land, pool and ocean training, you will improve your breath-hold, master your equalisation technique and move efficiently through the water. You will also learn how to react during emergencies and learn how to avoid blackout and 'surface sumba' (loss of motor control).
This experience is held over two days, including two open ocean freediving sessions and an eight hour theory and pool training session.
