This scenic helicopter flight experience begins with a greeting from your pilot and the ground crew, followed by a safety briefing to ensure that your flight is enjoyable and safe. Then you are off on an adventure to explore what the Barossa Valley has to offer from the best view of all! Every passenger has a 'window' seat and 180 degree views from inside the cabin. These helicopters are equipped with voice activated headsets so you can talk to each other and ask the pilot questions as you fly over the famous wine region. Once back on solid ground, you can sit and enjoy a coffee or tea and talk about your experience, before heading off to enjoy the rest of your day.

This flight is 10 minutes in duration, with an additional 10 minute safety briefing
Flights commence seven days a week, excluding Good Friday and Christmas Day
Available between 10am and 4 pm
September through to April is peak time for this experience, it is recommend that you book well in advance

Items not allowed on the flight: Selfie Sticks Hats Bags Headscarves, if it is for religious reasons you wear a head scarf, it MUST be pinned on No loose items What can I take on the helicopter? Camera or phone Sunglasses WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS: Maximum Individual weight of 130 kg Maximum combined weight of all passengers 270 kg All passengers will be weighed on the day of travel. Anyone over 130 kg will be unable to fly.

Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

The price quoted is for 2 people. The helicopter can accommodate 3 people, please contact the supplier to make arrangements (charges may apply)

Spectators

As you step out of the reception into the pergola area, there are tables and chairs for family and friend to relax while their loved ones take a flight

Flights do not operate in heavy rain or low cloud. Your safety and that of our pilot’s and aircraft are the Number 1 Priority!

Unforgettable Flight Over the Barossa

[Employee of redballoon] Our pilot Bridgette made the experience truly memorable. She was professional, welcoming and shared interesting insights as we flew over the vineyards, rolling hills and landmarks of the Barossa Valley. The ride itself felt smooth and safe, with every seat offering great views. Ten minutes was just the right amount of time to enjoy the scenery from above without feeling rushed. A wonderful way to see the Barossa from a new perspective.

Thoroughly enjoyable flight over the Barossa area. Our pilot answered lots of questions on all sorts of topics, & we got to see the impact 6mths of drought in the region. Next time I want Barossa Helicopters to take me directly to the Gather Round game!! 😃
