Become immersed in the performances and interactive demonstrations of the Tjapukai people. This tour allows you to learn about authentic Aboriginal culture from Indigenous Australians who call the rainforest their home. Watch music and dance ceremonies and learn how to throw a boomerang.
Be welcomed into the world of the Tjapukai people; Indigenous Australians who call the surrounding rainforest their homeland. Spend half a day at the park and get an insight into authentic Aboriginal culture and ceremonies. You'll be able to watch dance and musical performances, learn about the Dreamtime, throw a boomerang and get to participate in some of the demonstrations.
The program consists of traditional face painting; Creation theatre presentation; Tjapukai dance performance; Didgeridoo performance; bush foods and hunting weapons demonstration; and boomerang and spear throwing. After all this fun, you may want to stick around and grab a buffet lunch or takeaway sandwiches, at your own cost and peruse the Retail Gallery were you can purchase Indigenous arts, crafts, books, CDs and more!
