For those who love action and thrills with a dose of amazing views; this mountain bike ride is for you! Before you set off on the famed Fire Oaks Trail, you'll meet with the supplier who will bike fit you and give you a map. Then it's off you go! Ride through National Park and village streets.
Exhilarating and action packed but with gorgeous nature all around you; mountain biking is for those who to get active in the outdoors while admiring beautiful views. This self-guided ride is great for anyone regardless of experience. Beginners right through to advanced riders will love going at their own pace without having to worry about bringing their own bike.
You’ll meet the tour operator and be fitted for a bike. All safety equipment and gear is provided including gel padded gloves and a helmet suited to mountain biking. You will also be given a drink bottle (you get to take it home) and a map.
Then it’s time to set off on the popular Fire Oak Trail. Ride through the UNESCO listed Blue Mountains National Park and marvel at the gorgeous natural beauty streaming past you. You’ll also ride through the quiet town of Glenbrook. Explore at your own pace and stop to drink in the views that stretch to the Sydney CBD skyline.
Minimum age is 12. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a paying parent or guardian.150cm (5ft) is minimum height to fit the smallest bike the tour operator carries.
This products require minimum numbers for the service to run. Once booked, you can follow up with the operator as to your current ride status and/or options.
Minimum numbers on the day is four. Maximum number that can be catered to is 14. This does not mean you need 4 riders for the ride to go ahead. The tour operator will confirm the day prior to your ride, or your more than welcome to reach out to check the ride status.
In the event of rain or inclement weather the experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider the day before. Either way you will 100% receive a call the day before you ride.
You should wear eye protection, so bring sunglasses with you, and you must wear enclosed flat shoes like runners. This ride takes you into the Australian bush during the daytime so it is recommended that you apply sunscreen before the ride. Ensure that you wear exercise appropriate clothing.
No refunds for early return. No refunds due to weather. Road rules are to be adhered to at all times. Accidental bike damage insurance is included in this experience
The experience takes place in the Sydney Blue Mountains region, NSW. The trail is between Woodford and Glenbrook.
