This South Melbourne chocolate tour is the stuff all your chocolate dreams are made of! You’ll learn from the best in the business with a private masterclass with a chocolatier and head behind the scenes to see how chocolate is made, from the bean to the bar. It’s chocolate heaven!
Join a resident chocolate connoisseur who will help you discover the local side of Melbourne and introduce you to some of the finest chocolate producers the city has to offer.
Start your tour at the iconic St Ali cafe for a delicious breakfast and coffee to give you the caffeine kick you need before taking a short walk across to South Melbourne Market. At Atypic, you will hear about the origins of their company and the particular chocolate making process they follow. You'll be able to observe the full bean to bar operation in progress for a very special behind the scenes peak at the way it all works.
Then head to Bibelot for a private chocolate masterclass. Bibelot is a luxury European-inspired dessert boutique and an opulent destination for all things sweet - made even more impressive when you realise everything is made by hand! Get hands-on with chocolate making; learning how to temper chocolate, hand cut and hand dip bon bons before decorating them.
Finish with your choice of patisserie and a matching glass of bubbles or dessert wine, and head home happy with a souvenir box of hand made chocolates.
