Cruise the famous turquoise waters of Rottnest Island and have a go at catching your own lobster to complement a sumptuous seafood buffet lunch. Over 2.5 hours, you'll explore the island's stunning coastline dotted with beaches, bays and reefs, and tuck into an array of local ocean delicacies.
This exciting full day tour combines two of Western Australia's top attractions - Rottnest Island and the western rock lobster. Kicking off at 9am, you'll hop on the ferry from Fremantle for a pleasant 35 minute journey to Rottnest Island. Enjoy some free time to explore on foot before boarding a modern charter vessel that will head off to uncover some of the best of the coastline. Be welcomed with tasty canapes and a glass of sparkling wine on arrival and revel in the world-class views as the crew provides expert commentary about the landscape and its inhabitants.
This 2.5 hour adventure also gives you the opportunity to pull in baited pots of live western rock lobsters that will accompany your lunch. During this time you will learn a little about Western Australia's crayfish conservation efforts and be invited to help size the crays. At Longreach Bay or Parakeet Bay you will moor to indulge in an impressive seafood lunch that has been cooked fresh on board before you. Accompanying your freshly-caught crayfish is blue swimmer crab, salmon, marinated octopus, seafood skewers, teriyaki-style fish tacos, freshly shucked oysters and garden salad, finishing with chocolate brownies for dessert. You'll also enjoy unlimited local beer, wine and soft drinks throughout the cruise.
For those wanting to discover the magical marine world that lies below, you'll have ample time to swim and snorkel off the boat. Fishing rods and bait are available on prior request.
