Enjoy an adventure-packed day in the snowy wonderland of Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, just 90 minutes' drive from Melbourne. At 7:45am, you'll board a luxury coach and begin the scenic journey to Lake Mountain, first stopping at the world-famous Yarra Valley wine region. Here you will pop into the Yarra Valley Gateway Estate Coldstream or Beechworth Bakery to grab some lunch and pick up some local produce, sweets and pastries. Now that you are fuelled up for the day ahead, your driver will continue on to the ski resort. Once here, you will enjoy three hours of free leisure time. First timers can choose to take a professional ski or snowboard lesson, toboggan down the slopes, ride the flying fox or build snowmen. The resort also offers fantastic facilities including a cafe, amenities, ski equipment rental stores and more.

The afternoon winds down with a visit to the charming town of Marysville where you will take a stroll to the breathtaking Steavenson Falls, one of the high altitude waterfalls in the mountain ranges of Victoria. Listen to the sounds of the falling waters and birds as you reflect not only on an action-filled day but also the magnificence and richness of the natural world. The final stop of the trip is the famous Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery where you can indulge in a house-made sweet treat or two.

  • This is a full day experience, departing daily at 7:45am and returning at 6pm

Guidelines

  • Clothing and equipment hire outside of the below packages can also be arranged and paid for on the day of the tour. Please discuss your requirements with your coach driver on the morning of the tour
  • Food is not included
  • A minimal level of fitness is required for this experience
  • There is no space on the bus for strollers, prams, suitcases or large backpacks
  • Please notify the provider of any medical conditions and your travelling contact number at the time of booking
  • Participants are advised to make their own insurance provisions in case of unforeseen circumstances
  • This experience departs daily from 11th June – 9th Sept, subject to snow conditions

Cancellation

Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them, according to this policy:

  • Cancellation within seven days of departure will result in a 50% loss of the ticket price
  • Cancellation, failure to board or transfer within 48 hours of departure will result in full fare forfeiture
  • A $25 transfer fee will apply should the passenger wish to change travel dates between 2 – 7 days prior to travel

This tour runs with a minimum of six and maximum of 28 people.

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather, your experience will still go ahead, unless contacted by the provider.

Dress Code

Sunscreen, water bottle, hat, sunglasses or goggles, warm clothing, beanie, gloves, windbreaker and comfortable walking shoes. Bringing a spare set of dry clothes including socks and shoes is strongly recommended.
