Strap in to the Yak 52, an authentic Russian military aircraft, capable of amazing aerobatic manoeuvres and speeds of up to 430km/hr. Get your adrenaline pumping as your experienced pilot performs gentle loops and rolls or sit back for a leisurely cruise with the canopy open.
The Yak 52 is a 1991 model built for the Russian Air Force, classing it as one of the newest of its kind in Australia. The aircraft was put into storage until 1997 and imported to Australia due to the collapse of the Soviet Union. As a result, the Yak proudly wears its original military colour scheme, decked out with Russian instrumentation and radios. During your pre-flight briefing, you will learn the safety features of the aircraft, what the flight profile will be and how to use the intercom system as you are fitted into your safety harness. The Yak 52 can effortlessly perform incredible aerobatic manoeuvres but is equally at home performing gentle loops and rolls. As you glide through the sky with the canopy open, marvel at the stunning city landscape and beaches below that surround Melbourne, from an entirely unique perspective. Photo opportunities are also available before and after you board to capture the moment.
