Uncover some natural marvels above and below the surface during this small group tour. Descend into a magical underground world at Hastings Caves, where you will get lost in a dolomite cave system and sink into a toasty thermal pool. Then, head 50 metres above the forest floor at Tahune Adventures.
Your tour begins with a leisurely drive south along the Huon Highway, with an optional visit to the Apple Museum, followed by another optional visit to the Wooden Boat Centre in Franklin. Continue south through Geeveston down to Hastings Caves and Thermal Pools. Join a tour with a specialist guide and see the dazzling dolomite caves, one of two found in the country. Follow the labyrinth of stairs in and out of the caves, and take the opportunity to dip into the swimming pool fed by thermal spring water with a temperature of 28 degrees celsius. Following this, you'll make your way to Tahune Adventures where you can witness the amazing regeneration of the forest after fire devastation, and walk along the AirWalk rising up to 50 metres above the forest floor. Admire the expansive views across the wild waters of the Huon and Picton Rivers and the luscious Tasmanian wilderness as you wander along. After two hours here, you will make your way back to Hobart.
