Uncover a diverse range of Australian landscapes on this full day tour to the mighty Murray River. The Murray River is the world's longest navigable river, stretching 2700km from north-eastern Victoria to near Adelaide in South Australia. Departing from Adelaide by coach, admire the scarce red sandy floors of the Mallee outback and the rolling Adelaide Hills as you travel on your 1.5 hour journey to the historical town of Mannum. Along the way, you will learn about the history and importance of paddle steamers to Adelaide. On arrival, hop aboard the riverboat for a two hour cruise that showcases some of Australia's best and most diverse scenery. Lined with a magnificent forest of red river gums and soaring cliffs, the river is also home to an abundance of birdlife as well as many species of mammals, reptiles and fish. Enjoy lunch on board before returning to Mannum, where you will have free time to visit the scenic lookout that offers spectacular views of the river and town.

On your way back to Adelaide, you will stop at Melba's Chocolate Factory in Woodside, where you can taste some of the world's most delicious confectionary and refuel with a drink and a bite to eat at your own cost. Finally, you will pass by the Chain of Ponds to the Tea Tree Gully before arriving in Adelaide, where the tour ends.

Cruise boat may vary due to operational requirements. Either the Proud Mary Riverboat or Captain Proud Paddle Wheeler will be used. Lunch on the Proud Mary Riverboat is a buffet with tea/coffee. Lunch on the Captain Proud Paddle Wheeler is two course with tea/coffee.

  • Cancellation within 24 hours, no shows and late arrivals: Participants forfeit their experience and therefore are not entitled to a refund or rebook
