This full day course involves a mixture of presentations, demonstrations and numerous in-car driving experiences to enhance your driving skills and road safety awareness. At the end of the day, you will be surprised how little your driver's license taught you and what years of experience have failed to show you. Experienced coaches will show you safe driving techniques while you test drive a fleet of different cars. Using their cars allows you to push your limits without resulting tyre damage to your personnel vehicle, plus you can drive a range of different cars to learn their handling and dynamics.
This special one-day driver awareness course is aimed particularly at young and novice drivers but suitable for anyone who wants to improve their driving skills. Unlike other defensive driving courses this one offers you a fleet of vehicles allowing you to test drive a range of vehicles to understand their characteristics. Plus not putting unnecessary wear and tear on your vehicle or your tyres.
Unique teaching tools such as Fatal Vision Alcohol and Drug Impairment Simulation Goggles are used for participants to experience the impairment that alcohol and drugs can cause on driving performance, in a safe environment.
This course is based on best-practice methodology to reduce over-confidence and risk taking in participants by showing them the limits of their ability and the limits of a vehicle. Change learned behaviour and habits using Right Way/Wrong Way teaching principles.

Please note: This is not a learn to drive course, so all participants must be able to drive, brake, change gears (if manual) & steer a car. Most training vehicles are automatic.
Once this experience has been confirmed changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:
Maximum group size is 24 people. When courses have larger numbers more vehicles and instructors are supplied and when necessary more training facilities are hired.
There is places to watch the practical training, but spectators are not really catered for.
The course is conducted regardless of weather conditions. If for some reason your experience is cancelled because of the weather, you will be rescheduled by the provider.
It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing, taking into consideration the weather conditions (hat & sun screen or warm jacket & umbrella).
