Discover the magic of the Dampier Peninsula on this full day adventure to the Kimberleys, immersing yourself in stunning landscapes, incredible culture, and fascinating places. Begin your journey by boarding the custom built 4WD tour truck that will pick you up from your desired location in Broome. Travelling north, you will first stop at the Beagle Bay Aboriginal Community, home to the Sacred Heart Church and its glimmering pearl shell altar. Enjoy morning tea before heading north again, arriving at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, the only working pearl farm open to the public. You will be guided through an in-depth tour of the farm, learning about the history and cultivation of the world’s finest pearls.
Next, settle down at Cygnet Bay’s licensed restaurant and indulge in a sumptuous lunch, all whilst overlooking the turquoise waters of King Sound. After lunch, head to the One Arm Point Aboriginal Community and Jogolo Beach, where you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the pristine waters. Keep an eye out for dolphins and turtles as you look out from the Round Rock viewpoint. Tour the Ardyaloon Trochus Hatchery and Aquaculture Centre where you can learn about the Bardi-Jawi people’s strong connections to their salt water traditions and discover some of the fish and coral species that are the most prevalent in the area. Witness the breathtaking tidal flows of the Buccaneer Archipelago from the lookout, before re-boarding the vehicle and journeying back to Broome. You will be dropped off at approximately 6:30pm.
It is important than when booking a 4WD outback adventure in the Kimberley, you understand that the roads you will travel on can be heavily corrugated. Rest assured, these are the conditions for which the 4WD trucks are designed.
