Over 2 hours your tutor will take you by foot to many great photogenic locations in Canberra. Learn in simple terms how and why you should use the manual setting on your camera.

This course runs in small groups of 8 or less so you can receive individual help over the 2 hours.

Please Note: This photography course is only suitable for cameras with a manual mode setting. You will have a M for manual on the dial of your camera.

On the Day

Session Length

This course runs for 2 hours from 2pm - 4pm.

PLEASE NOTE: This experience does not run over winter months.

Numbers on the Day

A minimum of 4 in the group and maximum of 8. If minimum numbers are not reached we will reschedule this experience.


This experience will run indoors and in undercover locations if the weather conditions are wet. If severe weather is forecast we may reschedule the course.

Dress Code

Sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat are recommended. Please wear comfortable footwear.

  • Participants must bring their own camera, memory card and a fully charged battery
  • Minimum age is 14
  • Under 18 must be dropped off and picked up by their parent or legal guardian
  • This is an intermediate workshop, participants should have a basic understanding of photography


Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to their policy.

  • A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to reschedule
  • Failure to provide notice within this period of time will result in your voucher being forfeited and are therefore are not entitled to a refund or to re-book. Participants are advised to make their own insurance provisions in case of unforeseen circumstances
  • There is no charge to reschedule provided you notify the provider at least 14 days before the course
  • If less than 14 days notice is given a $45 rescheduling fee will apply
