Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind as you take a short ferry trip to Cockatoo Island to discover the colonial prison walls, silent warehouses and relics of a shipbuilding past. Be awed by the grand arch of the Harbour Bridge and architecture of the Opera House as you make your way to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed site. Your local guide, who doubles as a professional photographer, will share tips and tricks on capturing beautiful images of the world-famous harbour. The return ferry ride will drop you to Barangaroo where you'll walk the backstreets of Walsh Bay and the Rocks, Observatory Hill and Nurses Walk, taking photographs and learning more about Sydney's colonial past. Leave with camera confidence and a plethora of images that you are proud of!

Session Length

  • Available Wednesday, Friday or Sunday, from 8:30am-1:30pm
  • Blackout dates: December 24, 25 and 31

Guidelines

  • Participants MUST bring their own camera or smartphone
  • Minimum age to attend is 15 and minors must be accompanied by a paying adult guardian
  • Not suitable for people with back or joint problems, pregnant women or children
  • A moderate level of fitness is required. You will walk approximately 9000 steps on this tour; some steps and uneven surfaces
  • Please advise any dietary requirements at the time of booking. Vegan or vegetarian can be catered for

Cancellation

Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:

  • You can reschedule your attendance with no less than 72 hours’ notice to another date, subject to availability without penalty
  • If you reschedule with less than 72 hours’ notice and choose an alternate available date, a rebooking fee of $40 applies

Comfortable walking shoes, hat and sunscreen. It is also recommended you bring a pen, fully charged camera battery and a clean memory card.
