Take a walk on the wild side and engage with some of Australia’s most unique and curious wildlife! Immerse yourself in the natural bush environment of the Cleland Conservation Park and discover some of the 130 species of native wildlife. A definite must do in Adelaide!
Before arriving at the wildlife park, take a short stop at Mount Lofty Summit to enjoy the magnificent panorama over Adelaide. At approximately 710m, the summit is the highest point in the Adelaide Hills. Then, arrive at the Cleland Wildlife Park and get ready for a day full of adventures and discoveries. See kangaroos, emus, dingoes, wallabies, Tasmanian devils and many more! The park is well known for its management and care in the health and wellbeing of the animals.
Find an abundance of native wildlife as you walk among some of the free roaming animals in their natural environment. Engaging with the park’s friendliest inhabitants provide a truly immersive experience. The best way to get up close to the kangaroos, wallabies and potoroos is by hand feeding them with the included animal food.
You may even have the opportunity to get up close to Australia’s iconic koala! For an additional fee, you'll be able hold a resident koala and have a professional photo taken at the same time.
Don’t forget the interactive keeper talks, the Ocean to Outback Interpretive Centre or even the reptile hold experience ... and do so much more! This is a day the whole family can enjoy.
Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy: More than 72 hours prior to departure: 25% fee of total booking price. 48 – 72 hours prior to departure: 50% fee of total booking price. 24 – 48 hours prior to departure: 75% fee of total booking price. Less than 24 hours prior to departure: 100% fee of total booking price.

The experience provider may alter a tour or service at any time prior to departure due to, but not limited to, extreme weather conditions, safety considerations, park closures, or unforeseen circumstances outside of its control. An alternative tour itinerary will be arranged or you can transfer to an alternate departure date for the same tour.
Please dress appropriately for the weather. It is recommended you wear comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, hat and sunglasses and bring a small lightweight backpack for personal items. And importantly, don’t forget your camera!
Please note that to ensure the well being of koalas, koala experiences at Cleland Wildlife Park will be cancelled if temperatures are forecast at over 32°C in Mount Barker. Koala experiences may also be cancelled at any time due to other animal welfare concerns.
