You’ll see this graffiti up close as well as F wing cell block where one of the many riots in the prison’s history were staged. You’ll also visit the heritage section of the jail and learn about the daily lives of the prisoners and about the duties of the guards.

Boggo Road Gaol Pty Ltd reserves the right to cancel a tour without notice. Boggo Road Gaol Pty Ltd tours are rarely cancelled and would only be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. These include, but are not limited to - sick staff member, staff unavailability, injury or unexpected dangerous weather conditions, an emergency/dangerous situation. PLEASE NOTE: COVID-19 is no longer an unforeseen circumstance and regular cancellation fees apply. Each tour is restricted in size
Tours will still run in the rain. The weather really adds to the atmosphere of a tour. If the weather looks bad, bring some wet weather gear, and enjoy the tour. Tours will only be cancelled if conditions become dangerous. Our Bookings Coordinator will contact you to notify you of cancellation and rescheduling your tour.
Comfortable walking shoes must be worn. Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen is recommended, especially in summer. Bring umbrellas/raincoats in wet weather.
A plastic bottle of water/soft drink is recommended for participants (required if suffering of low blood sugar levels i.e. diabetic).
