Departing early from Sydney, you will arrive in the enchanting World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park and immediately be in awe of its magical qualities. Descending through the heart of the Park, you will walk amidst sub-tropical rainforest, streams and waterfalls, all whilst breathing in the fresh scent of the Eucalyptus forest and listening to the relaxing sounds of wildlife echoing around you. Along the way, your passionate guide will share with you fascinating facts about the plants that surround and the geological phenomenons that shaped the landscape. You will then arrive at Scenic World where you'll ride out of the valley aboard the Scenic Railway, the world's steepest railway, before stopping for a delicious gourmet lunch. For the rest of the tour, you will stay high above the valley, visiting several dramatic lookouts that will showcase expansive views of the Three Sisters, Mt Solitary and Jamieson Valley before heading back to the bus to return to Sydney.

Session Length

  • Please allow approximately 12 hours for the duration of this experience
  • The hike is approximately 14km, with around six hours of walking. The travel time from Sydney Central Station to the track start is approximately two hours, depending on the traffic
  • This experience departs at 6:30am


Due to the physical nature of the tour, a reasonable level of fitness if required. Unfortunately, the nature of the experience does exclude anyone who has trouble walking for extended periods of time. If you have any questions or concerns about the suitability of this experience, please consult your doctor.


  • A reasonable level of fitness is required due to the physical nature of the tour. You can expect to be walking for approximately six hours, broken up with regular breaks
  • For anyone that suffers from knee pain, it is recommend using a pair of walking poles for support
  • Please advise of any dietary requirements at the time of booking


Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:

In the event of unfavourable and dangerous weather conditions, the experience provider reserves the right to cancel the tour. If a trip is cancelled, you will be offered to reschedule with the experience provider directly.

Dress Code

It is recommended to wear comfortable hiking clothes, enclosed footwear such as sneakers or hiking boots and a raincoat and a warm jacket. It is also recommended to bring a water bottle, a hat, sunscreen and a camera.
