Learn about the intertwining histories of Aboriginal and European culture on this cultural walk to the Old Wilpena Station. Led by one of the area's traditional owners, you will stroll along the creek and past magnificent river red gums as you learn about the land, animals, Yura culture and history.
Get familiar with rich Aboriginal and European culture during this Yura Udnyu walking tour in the Flinders Ranges. Led by a Yura guide, you will wander to the Old Wilpena Station, one of South Australia's oldest and best preserved pastoral settlements. "Yura" is the name of Adnyamathanha people and “Udnyu” means white, so this tour explores the entwining relationship between both cultures. Along the way, you will follow the Wilpena Pound river shaded by beautiful river red gums whilst admiring stunning views of Wilpena Pound in the distance. You'll learn about the diversity of the land, native animals and bush-tucker which changes with the season and the Yura culture and history from a traditional owner's perspective.
