Main Description

Ever wondered what it takes to fly a helicopter? On this once-in-a-lifetime experience, we’ll show you how!

Your experience will start with a full pre-flight briefing on how the controls of the helicopter work.

Then you’ll depart from the Gold Coast Airport and overfly the stunning coastline of the Gold Coast. Soon after departing, your highly qualified instructor will hand over the controls – then YOU’RE the one in command of this incredible machine!

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

Gold Coast (Coolangatta) Airport

Session Length

Total duration is one hour, Flight time is approximately 25 minutes. Available Monday to Friday.

Guidelines:

Maximum weight is 136kg.

Numbers:

You will be one on one with your flight instructor.

Spectators:

There is a viewing area available for friends/family to watch the participant depart on their flight

Weather:

Helicopter flights are affected by weather, in the event of poor weather conditions your flight will be resheduled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Loved it ! What a perfect way to celebrate a birthday. The one on one experience was great. Able to pick up the basic laws of flying. Was able to take control of the cyclic in the R44 far more than what I expected and even had a go at the pedals and collective. Felt the fear but also felt I was in very safe hands. Kent was a great instructor. 26 April 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Truly, a great experience! After a thorough professional briefing, I climbed into the helicopter and was introduced to all the controls. Shortly afterwards we lifted off. After further explanation I operated each control individually to see what effect they had on the helicopter’s motion. Pretty soon, I was using all the controls to fly the helicopter around 650 feet above the coastal beaches. What a memorable experience! 1 February 2013

Simulators are for nerds, RC's are for kids, the real thing however, now that really gives you a true experience. I really enjoyed taking the chopper for a spin. The instructor gave me all the confidence and set me at ease. After clear and concise instructions on ground I was fully prepared of each staged hand over of the controls when I was up in the air. This was a fantastic birthday present that I will never forget. 18 December 2012
