Indulge yourself in a hands-on chocolate making workshop designed for the inquisitive and creative chocoholic! Find out how real chocolate is made and experience the pleasure of making your own. You’ll leave the chocolate workshop with your own handmade chocolates and the skills to make even more.
This chocolate making workshop is the perfect indulgence for any chocoholic! Your chocolate workshop begins with a brief discussion about chocolate including the difference between real chocolate (couverture) and compound chocolate.
Afterwards, you will be entrusted with the secrets of making chocolate truffles and given a choice of eight enticing flavours so you can even try your hand at making your own.
With the guidance of Joseph the chocolatier, you will firstly make the ganache using a flavour of your choice (the ganache is the centre of the chocolate). While you are rolling the ganache into delicious, bite-sized balls, your workshop assistant will make everyone in the workshop a great cup of coffee. Enjoy your coffee and maybe even indulge in one or two chocolates from our delicious chocolate range!
After making the ganache, you are then given a choice of a variety of finishes for your truffles. These may include a cocoa powder, or rolled nut finish, you might even have the opportunity to enrobe your creations using the chocolate machine, as well as decorating them.
After the class, all of your handmade chocolates (excluding those that you might have already eaten!) are yours to take home.

Session Length
The chocolate making workshops are held most Saturdays. We have two sessions - 9am to 1pm and 1pm to 5pm. Bookings are essential.

It was brilliant. The information was interesting and was a fun experience. We got to take home chocolate and had fun making it. I liked the fact that I can now make this chocolate at home. Would love to do this experience again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate making workshop. We were really impressed with the chocolates we took home and the best part is that everything we learnt we can try again at home later. The session was well-run and our hosts - Joseph and Connie - were knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about what they do.

This was definitely one of the best Saturday mornings I've had in a long time! If anyone wants a day with lots of tasting, nibbling, licking and laughing, sign up for this workshop. Joseph and Connie were wonderful hosts; they sure know their stuff and they're so open and willing to sharing their knowledge with anyone willing to learn! You also meet a great group of people who make the time fly. You don't even need to know anything about cooking; you just need to love chocolate and be prepared ...This was definitely one of the best Saturday mornings I've had in a long time! Totally amazing experience. The smell of chocolate hits you before you walk through the front door, inviting to you come in and check out the amazing chocolates for sale. Once inside, Joseph and Connie greet you warmly and get you started, sharing their experience and knowledge throughout the whole process. The best part was walking away with not just the knowledge of how to make your own chocolates at home, but with a box full of beautiful chocolates that you made yourself to proudly share with...Totally amazing experience. I had a really great wonderful time in learning how to actually make my favourite sweet chocolates especially with that delicious creamy full of flavoured centre which the taste is still in my mouth believe it or not and it is funny but I actually took three short video clips in class and I put them up on my facebook and I got so many great comments relating to how much fun I had and i have told many people on facebook...I do thank my daughter in law Juwana and my son Mousa for getting ...I had a really great wonderful time in learning how to actually make my favourite sweet chocolates especially with that delicious creamy full of flavoured centre which the taste is still in my mouth believe it or not and it is funny but I actually took three short video clips in class and I put them up on my facebook and I got so many great comments relating to how much fun I had and i have told many people on facebook...I do thank my daughter in law Juwana and my son Mousa for getting me this fantastic voucher for mothers day and for me i would love to learn more if given the opportunity

It was a really great experience, the teachers were so friendly and helpful and it was really worth my time, I had a fun day and went home with a lot more knowledge about chocolate than I did before!

Brilliant experience! The two people running this (Joseph and Connie) made this a brilliant experience. They love what they do and their passion was infectious - We were smiling all afternoon (and driving home). We ate lots of chocolates and took some home to share to boot! If you love chocolates this is for you. Just prepare to get messy!

The whole session was a bit long, even though you needed the time to complete everything. Maybe fewer people and shorter sessions would be better. I had a great time though it was fun and informative.

The chocolate making workshop exceeded my expectations. Joseph and Connie were lovely and obviously enjoyed what they do. Everyone in the class clearly had a wonderful time and we got to take home plenty of chocolates! I would recommend this to anyone as a great gift idea.

It was a very practical experience and Joseph provided plenty of background information to chocolate and the chocolate making processes. Joseph was an incredible teacher and I had such an enjoyable afternoon, and I came home with a box full of my handmade chocolates. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

Wonderful experience. My only suggestion is that more seating is available. Four hours on your feet is a bit much. Though the chocolate did make me forget the pain somewhat...... :)

Joseph knows his chocolate - so in the 4 hour workshop we learnt alot! Love that between the two of us, we came home with about 1/2 kg of gourmet chocolates! Yum!

The chocolate making workshop was a wonderful experience. Joseph was very generous with his knowledge and his chocolate. It was a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that was conducive to good conversation and fine chocolate tasting. I would highly recommend this experience!

The chocolate making lesson was amazing and Joseph was so giving and accommodating of himself and his knowledge. It was the most fun I have had in a long time. I am not a chocolate person, and was going to give my voucher away, but so glad that I did not. I have one happy hubby, who is a chocolate fan.
