Cheese, wine, an iconic Sydney landmark... what's not to love!? This experience is a delight of aromas, textures and tastes. Appreciate the best of Australian cheese, understand how to pair the flavours with wine, and hear about the art of cheese-making.

Whilst this afternoon on Fort Denison is mostly a cheese showcase, the experience is so much more! Fort Denison, the harbour, the views, and an amazingly passionate cheese connoisseur make this a very memorable occasion.

Enjoy a glass of champagne on arrival with a few canapes, and take a moment to appreciate the location from a spectacular grassy vantage point. You'll then be escorted to the private dining room and seated around a fully laid table complete with amazing cheese, wine, and cheese accompaniments.

Spend the next two hours tasting and learning about flavours, styles and milk types such as goat, sheep, cow and buffalo. Hear about cheese making processes, and with some of Australia's best wines on hand, learn how to perfectly complement your cheese choices. Best of all you don't have to remember every single detail - tasting notes do the work for you!

Not many people know the rich history of cheese Sydney has, starring Bennelong Point as an original cattle offload point for the ships. How appropriate to experience the best of Australian produce from an amazing historical location. This is quintessential Sydney - epicurean, fascinating, beautiful!

Session Length

These experiences are held every fortnight on either a Saturday or Sunday. The total time you'll need is 2.5 hours including the ferry.

Guidelines:

Proof of age may be required. The experience is available for under 18s, except wine will not be served in that case. Obviously not suitable for dairy allergies! Any food intolerances need to be disclosed prior to confirming a date.

You will be in a group of up to twenty people - large enough to have fun and meet people, yet small enough for questions and good discussion.

    The trip was well organised. The extra touches like being handed champagne when we first arrived at Fort Denison made it really nice. Claudia was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and personable. I will be recommending this tour to friends who visit Sydney.

    A great venue and some marvelous cheeses. The presenter, Claudia, is so knowledgeable, cleverly combining a variety of cheeses with a surprisingly suitable wine. Claudia's enthusiasm infects the group making for a momentous occasion.

    What a great experience, the cheeses brings it all to a new level of thinking of what you will buy. Fort Denison was also a great venue and what a view of our great harbour. Thanks to Evan our son who gave this to us as a present. Rosemary
